Volunteer as a team

We are lucky enough to regularly welcome workplace teams into our Little Village stockrooms across London. Our stock managers plan out half-day or full-day activities for teams of up to 10.

“Little Village had it really well organised, especially compared to some of the other volunteering events I went to. In my opinion its key to get the balance between the number of jobs and people invited and their approach of having a big jobs list and just dishing out more tasks as we needed them seemed to work really well. I hope we can visit again in future!”

You will help us organise our lovely donations, prepare bundles of items for families, and check our cots and other equipment.

We can guarantee you a well organised day, that is satisfying and social, where your time and hard work will make a real difference to our service.

How it works

  • What sort of jobs will we do?

We’ll put you to work in our stockrooms, working with our team to quality check donations, organise bundles of items to gift on to families, and help us prepare for any upcoming pop up events.

  • What should we wear?

Don’t put a suit on! Wear practical clothing and footwear that you will be comfortable in.

  • What does Little Village provide for us?

We will work with you to design the most appropriate volunteering session for your team. We will brief you at the start of the day, and one of our team will support you throughout your time with us.

  • When can we volunteer with you?

Our Wandsworth and Camden sites are open during termtimes only, and we welcome corporate teams on Tuesdays, and you can also volunteer at Wandsworth on Thursdays.

  • How long would a session last?

We generally recommend a half day (9.30-1pm) but we are happy to talk about different timings if you prefer.

  • Do we need to pay?

We ask companies for a donation of £250 per session. These donations ensure that we can keep our doors open and purchase essentials such as new bottle teats and cot mattresses. They also cover materials and resources used within our sessions and ensure that we can offer a warm welcome to each family that visits us. If your company does not have funds for volunteering, then please do let us know and we can discuss a way to ensure we can still work together.
