Little Village appoints new CEO

Little Village is delighted to announce the appointment of Sophie Livingstone MBE, as its new CEO. Sophie will join the team at the start of February 2021.

Sophie is currently Managing Director of Trustees Unlimited. She was the founding Chief Executive of youth volunteering charity City Year UK and has a wealth of experience working in the charity sector as both a CEO and Trustee, including previously as Chair of Little Village.

Sophie was awarded an MBE for services to charity in the 2020 Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Announcing Sophie’s appointment, Little Village’s interim Chair Olivia Gillan-Bower said:

“We are thrilled at Sophie’s appointment. We know her vast experience both leading and governing charities will be of huge benefit to Little Village in the next stage of its development. There was a great deal of interest in the role and Sophie was chosen in a highly competitive selection process from a strong field of candidates.

Sophie was recently awarded an MBE for her services to charity and we’re delighted that a charity leader of such great calibre will be leading Little Village going forward.”

Sophie Livingstone MBE said:

“Little Village’s values and approach are what attracted me to join the organisation’s board two years ago, so I’m honoured now to be succeeding our founder, Sophia Parker, to continue growing its impact and influence. They’re big shoes to fill, at a time when our work is urgent.

It will be a privilege to work with our staff and volunteers to give more families the opportunity to support each other, especially at a time when tackling social injustice is needed more than ever.”
