Little Village set to welcome first Head of Advocacy and Communications

Little Village has announced today that it is set to welcome its first Head of Advocacy and Communications, Sophia Moreau. Sophia is set to join the Little Village team on Monday 21st June.

Sophia Moreau is a multi-award-winning campaigner with 10 years’ experience in the non-profit sector. She was recently named runner up in the Sheila McKechnie Foundation’s Young Campaigner award category for her Stop Student Maternity Discrimination campaign, run with Pregnant then Screwed. Sophia has a background in investigative journalism, qualitative research, facilitation and community engagement. She loves building public will and influencing change by platforming lived experience.

Sophia said:

“Little Village is a brilliant example of harnessed solidarity, and I can’t wait to join the team. I have been admiring the work of Little Village for some time, as it is a values-driven organisation that challenges both the causes and effects of child poverty. I look forward to contributing to this powerful work and amplifying the voices of the families Little Village supports as Head of Advocacy and Communications.”

CEO of Little Village, Sophie Livingstone MBE, said:

“I am so delighted that Sophia will be joining the Little Village team as our first ever Head of Advocacy and Communications. She brings a wealth of experience and will be an asset to Little Village and the communities we work with. I am excited to see how Sophia helps us to share the voices of the families we work with, so together we can be a powerful voice against child poverty.”
