Our dream is that every child in the capital has the essential things they need to thrive, and that everyone can play a part in achieving that goal.
Are you passionate about tackling child poverty and motivated by Little Village’s values of Love, Solidarity, Thriving and Sustainability? Do you believe in our model of bringing families together to help each other? Would you enjoy working in an environment of a small, ambitious and relatively new organisation?
The latest figures from End Child Poverty research show that 33 per cent of children are living in poverty in London. So far in 2023, we’ve already supported 50% more families in the first six months of the year than we did in 2022.
Our hubs are at the centre of the support we provide, receiving and sorting donations, packing bundles and welcoming families and volunteers.
We are now recruiting for a Baby Bank Manager at the Little Village South sites in Tooting and Roehampton. Working with volunteers and hub team, you will help to create a warm, caring and safe environment and ensure there is great quality stock to meet the needs of families.
The salary is £33,500 per annum FTE (gross). We think this role requires 35 hours per week, but we’re open to discussions about flexibility, including job share applications. This role will be on a permanent contract and will require a DBS check.
We are working towards a goal where our team fully reflects that diversity and difference in lived experiences and strongly encourage applications from under-represented groups including: people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, people with lived experience of poverty either personally or through family, experience of the care system, non-graduates and first-in-family graduates. As part of our commitment to fairer recruitment, all applications will be assessed without names and any protected characteristics.
The deadline is 27 September at 9am. All information on the role and how to apply can be found here: Baby Bank Manager South Sept23
