We’re hiring: Community Engagement Coordinator (two positions – North & South)

Our dream is that every child in the capital has the essential things they need to thrive, and that everyone can play a part in achieving that goal.

Are you passionate about tackling child poverty and motivated by Little Village’s values of Love, Solidarity, Thriving and Sustainability? Do you believe in our model of bringing families together to help each other? Would you enjoy working in the fast-paced environment of a small, ambitious and relatively new organisation?

We are looking for two Community Engagement Coordinators (one for our North site in Camden, and one for our South site in Tooting) to be the brand ambassadors for Little Village locally, building a strong internal community, and delivering leadership in the local community. These roles are local community cogs at the heart of the Little Village wheel – working as an interface between our local site communities and our network wide team and initiatives.

We think that these roles each require 28-35 hours per week but we’re open to discussion. The roles will be offered on a permanent basis, with a salary of £28,500 (FTE), and they will require a DBS check.

We are working towards a goal where our team fully reflects that diversity and difference in lived experiences and strongly encourage applications from under-represented groups including: people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, people with lived experience of poverty either personally or through family, experience of the care system, non-graduates and first-in-family graduates. As part of our commitment to fairer recruitment, all applications will be assessed without names and any protected characteristics

The deadline is 28th February 2022 at 9am and all the information on the roles and how to apply is here for the Community Engagement Coordinator North and here for the Community Engagement Coordinator South.
