Voices from the Village: Diana’s story

Diana* (not her real name) recently visited our Tooting hub. She told us:

“We tried for 17 years to have children. I eventually fell pregnant with twins, who were born two months early, probably due to the stress of us not having enough money or a permanent home. One of them was born with a heart problem, it was so sad, so stressful.

“Little Village first provided us with items when the twins were born, we didn’t have any money, or anything. Now we they are five months we have come back to get more things like clothes, a baby walker, shoes, toys, nappies.

“We live with family and all four of us sleep in their living room, it’s not easy but these babies are a blessing.”
