We are hiring: Safeguarding and Family Insights Manager

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and supporting the wellbeing of everyone in our ‘village’ is something we’re deeply committed to.

Over the past year, increased safeguarding training has helped our team feel more confident in raising concerns and as a result, we’ve seen a significant rise in cases and complexities. We know we need expert leadership to make sure we’re responding with care and urgency.

As our Designated Safeguarding Lead, you’ll make sure any safeguarding concern – whether involving a family, staff member, volunteer, or visitor – is handled with compassion and professionalism.

You’ll also help us gather insights from families, improving our services and shaping how we respond to the challenges they face. This role is key to embedding safeguarding in everything we do, creating a safe and supportive space for everyone.

If you’re passionate about safeguarding, thoughtful research, and putting people first — we’d love to hear from you.

We think that this job requires 35 hours per week, but we’re open to discussions about flexibility. The salary is £39,000 FTE per annum and the successful applicant will require a DBS check.

We are working towards a goal where our team fully reflects that diversity and difference in lived experiences and strongly encourage applications from under-represented groups including: people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, people with lived experience of poverty either personally or through family, experience of the care system, non-graduates and first-in-family graduates. As part of our commitment to fairer recruitment, all applications will be assessed without names and any protected characteristics.

The deadline is Tuesday 22nd April at 9am. All the information on the role can be found here: Safeguarding & Family Insights Manager – JD new, and you can apply here.
