We're Hiring: Referrals Manager

Our dream is that every child in the capital has the essential things they need to thrive, and that everyone can play a part in achieving that goal.

Are you passionate about tackling child poverty and motivated by Little Village’s values of Love, Solidarity, Thriving and Sustainability? Do you believe in our model of bringing families together to help each other? Would you enjoy working in an environment of a small, ambitious and relatively new organisation?

We’ve grown to be one of the largest ‘baby banks’ in the UK, supporting over 25,000 children since we launched in 2016. In 2022, we fulfilled over 5,000 referrals sent to us by a network of over 2,300 professionals from more than 500 organisations. These referral partners included midwives, health visitors, social workers, children’s centres, other front-line charities, faith groups, food banks, and council services.

Our referrals team are at the heart of what we do, processing these referrals as they come in and ensuring families get exactly what they need. We’re looking for a Referrals Manager to lead this growing team, overseeing the Little Village referrals process and ensuring the effective running of the referral process from start to finish, allowing us to support as many families as possible in line with our values.

We think this role requires 21 hours per week ideally across 4-5 days, but we’re open to discussions about flexibility. The salary is £33,500 (FTE) gross, and the role will be offered on a permanent contract basis. The successful candidate will require a DBS check.

We are working towards a goal where our team fully reflects that diversity and difference in lived experiences and strongly encourage applications from under-represented groups including: people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, people with lived experience of poverty either personally or through family, experience of the care system, non-graduates and first-in-family graduates. As part of our commitment to fairer recruitment, all applications will be assessed without names and any protected characteristics.

The deadline is 28th June 2023 at 9am and all the information on the role and how to apply is here.
