We are hiring: Social Media and PR Officer

Little Village is a fast-paced, innovative, and life-changing charity dedicated to supporting families in need. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Social Media & PR Officer to join our dynamic communications team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to further develop your storytelling and engagement skills while making a significant difference in the lives of the families we support.

In your role, you will be instrumental in curating, managing, and optimising engaging content across various platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X/Twitter and will be able to take our social media output to the next level. You will ensure our content is tailored to different audiences and crafted to achieve maximum impact and will be able to dynamically evaluate and measure what’s working well to optimise our content and keep our ‘villagers’ engaged.

You will be curative, curious and have first class skills at delivering and executing visually appealing content which hits the right marks in terms of brand awareness, interest and action. Key to this will be working across many teams to help bring to life our work and support our need to inspire more donations of items, cash and volunteering time. We’re also looking to continue to build on our storytelling, so you’ll have a warm personality and be confident in speaking to families about sensitive issues.

We’re a small organisation working on a huge agenda and want our content to help inspire new people to join our ‘village’. We’ve been very successful at punching above our weight and attracting national and regional attention across London through the stories we’ve been telling about child poverty so familiarity working with journalists would be desirable.

We’re a charity that makes a tangible difference to the lives of families so if you want to develop your skills in a supportive and innovative environment and collaborate with a passionate and dedicated team, we would love to hear from you.

How to Apply

If you are excited about this opportunity and meet the requirements, we would love to hear from you.
