Need
help?
Our dream is that every child in the capital has the essential things they need to thrive, and that everyone can play a part in achieving that goal.    Do you want to make a positive impact to our operations though refining our warehouse processes and enable us to support families across London more efficiently?  Would you enjoy working in the fast-paced environment of a small, ambitious organisation?  Are you passionate about tackling child poverty and motivated by Little Village’s values of Love, Solidarity, Thriving and Sustainability?  Â
In this role, you’ll ensure the volunteer experience at Little Village really reflects our values. We’re looking for someone who combines assertiveness with kindness, experience with compassion, and knowledge with a genuine desire to listen and learn.
You’ll be the go-to person for both volunteers and the staff supporting them, making sure everyone has the tools and support they need for their roles.
A key part of this role is designing and delivering multi-platform training across a range of roles, locations and experience. The ideal person will love the innovative process, as we test and learn to continue adapting to our growing and diverse volunteer community.
You’ll work closely with teams to understand what’s working and where we can improve, offering new ideas to create a positive volunteer experience. You’ll also lead on recognition and engagement – within teams and across the network – helping us to celebrate.
We think that this job requires between 28-35 hours per week, based at home with a minimum of 5 days a month onsite but we’re open to discussions about flexibility. The salary is £34,505 FTE per annum and we ask the successful applicant to undertake a DBS check.
We are working towards a goal where our team fully reflects that diversity and difference in lived experiences and strongly encourage applications from under-represented groups including: people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, people with lived experience of poverty either personally or through family, experience of the care system, non-graduates and first-in-family graduates. As part of our commitment to fairer recruitment, all applications will be assessed without names and any protected characteristics.
The deadline to apply is 9am January 20th 2025. You can find out more about the role here: Job Description and apply here.
