What will I be doing as a volunteer?

This is a home-based role, involving talking to families over the telephone to understand their situations, helping to make sure they’re accessing all the support available to them. This role is more in-depth so requires training and DBS before you start.

When can I volunteer?

Home based roles can be flexible, but because our general service runs between 9.30am – 16:00 within the week, and we like to be available to support our Family Connections volunteers if needed, we’re looking for people who can make calls during these hours.

How often will I volunteer?

As we’re a relatively small charity still, help from our volunteers really is invaluable and we ask volunteers to sign-up for a regular shift either weekly or fortnightly.

How can I sign up?

The next round of recruitment for this role will be around mid-August, with a training in September. Please watch this space in the next few weeks.
